I checked it out. It's very nice. Great job on the renovation. Very good coffee. Freindly atmosphere. It's a great addition to downtown.

Hi Wade,
I am a guitarist and a baby boomer. I actually played in a "hippie-style" coffee shop in the late 60's and 70's. I bet there is quite a few of us old (and not so old) musicians around. I was thinking that an advertized open jam night might work at your coffee shop.

Hubby and I dropped in for a coffee and biscotti at the Signatures Coffee Shop this evening. Flowers were blooming in window boxes. The place is really comfy with a relaxed atmosphere. There were several other patrons already settled in... two young men in the lounge chairs, maybe college age - and a 50-something couple who were reading the news at a tall table by the window..
We chatted with one of the owners (Wade) and asked a bit about what he has planned. There will be assorted Friday night live music (jazz, accoustic, instrumental, etc) and also a casual midweek guest speaker-type person. Oh yes, and a monthly BookGroup! I will certainly be returning to this place and hope it is a success.

Signatures is fabulous, I wish there were more things of the like downtown. The empty buildings just sitting there waiting for tenents can be an eyesore.
I was talking with the lady in Yankee peddler about organizing a mural painting downtown on the big blank side of a building across from Giovanni's....something that would get the town involved, and make visitors feel welcome.
And what is with the Actor's Theatre? Is it open agian?

I love downtown Fairborn but I do get the feeling that the City doesn't always support it like they should. They seen to be more interested in what is going on out on 675. there are some other shops that are new to down town like g&g flowers, needfull things, street freakz performance, there is a bridal shop, the kut hut. these are all on west main street from wright ave. down to broad street. street freakz performance shade insurance, g&g flowers, the kut hut, signatures coffee shop, needfull things are all getting together and doing some radio advertising for downtown. hope this helps fairborn a little.

I am all for artwork. Murals on the businesses would be great! Something associated with our town. We could get art students from the HS or WSU! This would really perk up the town and make a statement. A common theme of artwork would have a positive influence on how people view our little town.
