II currently live in Dayton, but I come up to Fairborn about once a week to see my parents.
Just wanted to see what restaurants you thought were good, bad, indifferent, etc.
I like the Flying Tiger. We have been going to that restaurant for years, and never had a bad meal.
If you want a good, cheap Sunday breakfast, head over to the American Legion post.

I'm a Tickets man. I think they have great food and it seems like I always see someone I know in there. And there is Giovanni's on Main Street it's always good. And I've always gotten good food at Cadillac Jacks. Then you have all the usual stuff by the mall.

There are several new places in town. The Broad Street Grill is across from ReMax. Try the strawberry lemonade. Best Western has now replaced Damons. Taste of ?? I have had breakfast and lunch there and I was satisfied with both.

Oh yeh Broad Street Grill I forgot about that one. It is good. You know Fairborn needs an upscale resturant. But I guess maybe that's gone a bit out of style. And if we did get one it would probably be out by the highway.

I have never heard anything bad about Foy's Rock and Roll Grill on E Main St. I have not eaten there myself yet but everyone I have talked to said the food and atmosphere is great! I think I talked myself into going there soon. ;D

Flying Tiger is the BEST Chinese place around. We go there all the time. Also Giovanni's is excellent Italian.

How far back can you guys remember Fairborn? Foys grill used to be Jack Howards Pool Hall, and it had the best burgers in town there. I used to get shake from Rax which was right of the old Theater on Broad St. My first job was as a bus boy at Duffs in the Fulmers Shopping center. I worked at the Wendys...twice on Broad St. and the best job I ever had was delivering pizza for the Broad St. Cassano's Pizza. What a sad day when that placed closed. That Smoke shop next to it used to be the Dunkin Donuts, but it went under too. I miss the old Fairborn, when there was actual distinction and space between us and Bever Creek!

I'm more from the Frische's and Parkmoor era. And I remember when the Broad Street Gill was Lums with Colonel Sanders right next door. Next door to Frische's was Hasty Tasty and Burger Chef.

I remember the Burger Chef and the pool hall (Foys). We also used to go to Godfathers pizza in the Park Hills Plaza, and there also used to be a place, I think called Savinos, that made the best bonzo's 15 years before Chicken & Pizza made them. They were yummy. The little Mom & Pop places are gone to make way for Franchises. I miss Mom and Pop

Oh yeh Savino's was awesome. That place was a couple of other names before that too. We used to go there from Five Points.

The Golden Eagle on Broad Street opened on 19 June. Generous portions of good food. Open for breakfast at 7 AM, lunch and dinner -- including Sundays. Daily specials are a great value and there are early bird rates too for dinner.

Villa de Giovanni's is good, but they keep taking gilato off the menu and adding it back. The Giovanni's on Main street is good too. My favorite is Tickets, you can't beat the Gyro's. Broad Street Grill was nice until they changed their menu... too expensive now.
